Ingredients:
- 2 ripe pears, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup pistachios, shelled and chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Using a blender, blend the peeled pears until they are smooth
Put the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar into a saucepan and mix them together
On medium heat, stir the mixture around until the sugar is gone and it just starts to simmer
Take the cream mix off the heat and add the chopped pistachios and pureed pears
Add the vanilla extract after the mixture has cooled all the way down
Put the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn it according to the machine's directions until it's the consistency of soft serve
Put the ice cream in a container that can go in the freezer
Freeze it for at least 4 hours, or until it's firm
