Ingredients:
- 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 2 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- Optional: Chopped chives for garnish
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 190C 375F
About 5 to 7 minutes of steaming will make the cauliflower florets soft
Remove the water and set it aside
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat
It will take about one to two minutes of cooking until the almond flour is lightly browned
Slowly add the heavy cream and whisk it in until it's smooth and thick
Salt and pepper should be added along with the shredded cheese
Mix the sauce and cheese together until the sauce is smooth
Add steamed cauliflower and cooked bacon, if you want
Put the mix in a baking dish
If you want it bubbly and golden brown, bake it for 15 to 20 minutes
Add chopped chives as a garnish if you want
